Faster than the rules

Artificial intelligence is being built faster than any city council, county commission, statehouse or Congress was designed to move. Data centers, power plants and transmission lines are planned, financed and approved in less time than it takes a county to schedule a public hearing.

Utah has hung out the welcome sign. The governor has made AI a state priority, and the land, water and power to feed it are on the table.

New Deseret Press follows the build-out as it happens: who is building what, where, with whose money and under which rules. We aim to give readers bedrock: every claim, traced to its origin.

Utah is all in.
Are its people?
